PSYCHOSOCIAL SAFETY
Is your workplace psychologically safe? Would the regulator agree?
Elevate helps organisations identify, control, and evidence psychosocial risk, so the answer holds up under scrutiny, not just in a wellbeing survey.
THE CONTEXT HAS CHANGED
Regulators have moved from education to enforcement.
Harm is no longer only physical. Psychosocial hazards, and now the systems and algorithms that allocate work, carry the same enforceable weight.
Physical
Slips, ergonomics, and workplace security.
Psychosocial
Bullying, harassment, burnout, and job demands, now enforceable WHS duties.
Digital & AI
Emerging risk from digital work systems, AI, and algorithmic task allocation.
Psychosocial-focused inspections carried out by SafeWork NSW since 2024
Fine imposed on the Commonwealth Department of Defence, the first Commonwealth psychosocial conviction, Dec 2025
Average NSW psychological injury claim cost in 2024–25, up from $146,000 in 2019–20
WH AT WE WORK ON
Psychosocial hazards include excessive job demands, poor management support, bullying and harassment, exposure to workplace violence, and organisational change managed without consultation. Increasingly, they also include how digital systems and AI allocate, monitor, and manage work. We help organisations identify where these hazards sit, build controls that hold up to regulatory scrutiny, and put in place the reporting and governance infrastructure to catch what internal systems currently miss.
Psychosocial safety, treated as a safety matter, not a wellbeing initiative.
Psychosocial safety sits alongside our work in Respect at Work, gender-based violence prevention, pay equity, and independent workplace investigations, engagements can be taken standalone or sequenced together.HOW E L EVAT E WORKS
An integrated approach, not a one-off intervention.
We bring together legal rigour, trauma-informed practice, and intersectional expertise. Our work carries you from diagnosis through to ongoing monitoring, not advice that stops at the report.
Diagnose
See where you're exposed to cultural and regulatory risk, with prescriptive recommendations and board-ready briefings.
Build
Establish a connected system of work design that prevents harm before it occurs, backed by tailored leadership capability.
Enable
Practical tools, confidential reporting pathways, and decision support, so concerns are raised early and handled with care.
Sustain
Monitor leading indicators, sentiment data, and incident trends, so emerging hazards are surfaced before they escalate.
