Creating Safe, Respectful and Inclusive
Campus Cultures
We partner with higher education providers to build person-centred, trauma-informed and intersectional strategies that prevent gender-based violence and foster respect. Our programs also align with the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence.
Why It Matters
Every student and staff member deserves a safe, respectful and inclusive environment. The new National Higher Education Code makes this a clear expectation, requiring providers to prevent and respond to gender-based violence across leadership, systems, training, and support.
Elevate Consulting Partners brings deep expertise and proven solutions that help universities not just comply with the National Code, but transform their cultures into safer, more respectful spaces for learning and work.
Our Approach
Person-centred
Safety, dignity and lived experience guide every response.
Trauma-informed
Training and systems reflect best practice in understanding and responding to trauma.
Intersectional
We address how gender, culture, race, disability and other factors shape risks and experiences
Our Offerings for Higher Education
-
Assess policies, systems and workplace culture against the Code standards. Identify gaps, hotspots, and opportunities to improve.
-
Our education programs build the knowledge and capability universities need to meet the National Code standards for preventing and responding to Gender-based Violence. Developed by experts in law, psychology, adult education and workplace culture, our training is trauma-informed, evidence-based, culturally safe and tailored to the higher education context.
We equip staff, students and leaders to understand drivers of gender-based violence, recognise the role of power and inequality, respond safely to disclosures, and foster cultures of respect and accountability.
Our programs include
Preventing Gender-Based Violence – increasing understanding of drivers, power dynamics, respectful relationships, and contextual risk factors in higher education.
Ethical Bystander Workshops – building awareness and capability to intervene safely and effectively.
Responding to Disclosures Training – teaching trauma-informed, person-centred responses, awareness of the effects of trauma, and pathways to support and reporting.
Trauma-Informed Investigations Program – equipping investigators with person-centred, trauma-aware approaches aligned to the National Code.
Each program is designed for ongoing learning, safe management of disclosures, and continuous evaluation to meet institutional duties of care and regulatory expectations.
